About Us

Mission Statement

We exist to facilitate collaboration amongst anti-trafficking agencies, educate the community, and improve the lives of survivors.

What We Do

The North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NTCAHT) meets monthly in the downtown Dallas area to discuss how human trafficking affects North Texas communities and how we can collaborate to combat this problem. The agencies that make up the coalition collectively provide advocacy, housing, health, counseling, legal, and case management services to thousands of trafficked people each year. We have been working against human trafficking since 2011. Download Coalition By-Laws.

About the Bird

The Bird in NTCAHT’s logo represents Hope, as derived from Emily Dickinson’s classic poem:

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
